Who We Are

In June 2011, Piedmont Community Services was awarded a grant from The Harvest Foundation to implement the Community Recovery Program (CRP).  The purpose was to reduce the problems associated with substance use in Martinsville and Henry County by primarily engaging with individuals who had achieved at a period of sobriety.  The primary focus of CRP is to assist individuals obtain and maintain employment.  Realizing that for an individual to be successful in their employment, other areas may also need to be addressed.  For that reason, through providing case management, CRP can assist with linkage to other community resources that address education, budgeting, mental health, spirituality, physical health, and housing. 

CRP is committed to assisting individuals overcome the obstacles created by trauma, substance use, criminal behaviors, and/or mental illness. With the assistance of employers and other community resources, CRP has assisted over 800 individuals become productive members of their communities.
